Stuart Flynn: Chief Executive Officer -
An Operations Director with 26 years of experience in the commercial, technical and physical security industries, he's a qualified electronics engineer and graduate of Plymouth University, England in Marine Operations. His career path has been in high value corporate management, engineering design and project management for critical infrastructure, business development and corporate operational design and management. He has serviced the Maritime, Aviation, Transport, Finance / Banking and Hospitality sectors from key positions residing in a number of countries, Singapore, California, Abu Dhabi, Greece to name a few.
He's an industry security expert of Maritime and Land based operations who has worked at the highest levels all over the world supporting innovative strategic corporate and technology growth, business resilience and crisis response measures to all market industries operating in high risk areas.
A Marine Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy for 25 years, he was a surface ship specialist who served in a variety of ships and on national and NATO deployments. During her build he stood by HMS OCEAN, then the RN’s largest ship, he was the part of the team that commissioned and first operated the Trident nuclear submarine ship lift and latterly was the Officer in Command and Chief Engineer of HMS DARING, the RN’s most technologically advanced warship for 2 ½ years throughout her build and sea trials phase.
In recognition of his leadership in this role he was awarded the OBE in the 2009 Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
On leaving the RN he was employed as the Director of UK Government Engagement for Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), a worldwide maritime logistics company. In this capacity he has also been selected to sit on the Ports Advisory Group, a team of senior executives from the maritime industry whose role is to advise UK Government on global opportunities in the Ports domain.
He has been the Regional Director of the CBI in East Anglia.
Ian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in 1984. He worked in Switzerland for 5 years with Robert Fleming and Coopers & Lybrand. He was Finance and Operations Director with both Bell Lawrie White and Greig Middleton, UK national stockbrokers, for a total of 8 years; annual turnover in these businesses ranged from £35m to £350m.

As an experienced Security Application Development Director in the US Military, Government, Corporate, IT/Telecom, Maritime, Aviation, Transport and Infrastructure market areas, key skills include business development, bid analysis, financial appraisal and cost build, budget and profitability initiatives, design of application and engineering effort, program management to meet budget restraints, problem and dispute resolution and manage client expectations. Fridolin holds dual Doctorates in Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics and a Masters in Theoretical Physics from the University of Munich, with an international background in applied particle physics. He currently holds the Associate Chair position in the Physics Department at California State University, San Diego; he has also served at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics and as visiting faculty professor in the Physics Department (JINA), University of Notre Dame.
Other positions held include visiting staff researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Berkeley, California and visiting professor in the Department of Nuclear Physics and High Energy Physics, University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
